MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - An Apple Valley man is facing homicide charges in a crash that killed a woman last week near downtown Minneapolis.

Prosecutors expect the 30-year-old man to make his first court appearance Wednesday on charges of criminal vehicular homicide.

A criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County says the accused driver ran a red light, struck and killed 47-year-old Krista Sandstrom, then left the scene of the crash along with a passenger.

Police found him not far from the crash site. He was handcuffed and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
