FREEPORT -- This week's Home Town Spotlight series takes us to Freeport, where we're in for a satisfying sweet treat.

What use to not even get a second look as you came off the freeway, has quickly turned into a must stop experience.

"I thought it could be fun and it would work out. I mean who doesn't love an ice cream on a hot summer day."

Emilea Arnzen owns and operates Oak Station Coffee and Cone. She says she's always wanted to run a family friendly business in a small town.

"I believe in places like this. Something where families can come an make memories, or people stop by on their way to the cabin."

The building provides a relaxed rustic type atmosphere, while serving up your favorite coffee, smoothie and ice cream cone.

Arnzen says she has been thrilled by the communities welcoming response and loves to hear the stories her customers share with her about their experience.

"All I want is to have people come in and feel like they are a friend of ours and leave satisfied and happy."

The business sits right off the exit as you come into Freeport and next to the Lake Wobegon Trail.

Oak Station Coffee and Cone is open Mondays and Wednesday through Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
