ST. CLOUD - Deborah Lipstadt has established herself as a strong voice against those who deny the Holocaust's existence.

She spoke to students last night (Thursday) at St. Cloud State about the Holocaust, anti-Semitism, and its role in making genocide a reality.

Today, some Holocaust deniers still attempt to cover up the facts or downplay its existence altogether.  Lipstadt stressed the importance of sharing survivors' stories to help shed light on other genocides around the world.

Lipstadt is a Professor of Modern Jewish and Holocaust Studies at Emory University in Atlanta. She has written four books including "Denying the Holocaust: The Growing Assault on Truth and Memory," a study of those who attempt to deny the Holocaust.
