CLEARWATER -- We told you this morning that workers would be inspecting the Highway 24 bridge in Clearwater today (Monday). But, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has pushed the inspection work back by one day.

Crews will now be inspecting the bridge tomorrow (Tuesday). The bridge over the Mississippi River will be reduced to a single lane starting at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Flaggers will allow one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone.

All lanes on Highway 24 in Clearwater are expected to reopen by 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the project to replace the Highway 24 bridge over the Mississippi River is scheduled to begin next month.
