Herman John Czeck, age 89, St. Cloud, MN, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN at a later date. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Herman was born September 15, 1926 in Holdingford, MN to Joseph and Elizabeth Skudlarek. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Herman married Rosina Ann Spoden on December 11, 1961 at First Presbyterian Church, St. Cloud, MN. He was the custodian at First Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. Herman was a quiet man who loved his church, his family and spending time outdoors, especially watching wildlife and fishing.

Survivors include brothers, Martin Czeck of Stillwater, MN; sisters, Mary Ann (Charles) Skelton of Clearwater, MN; and Martha Godzala of Garrison, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rosina, and five brothers, Claude, Tony, Sylvester, Frank and Bernard Czeck.
