Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Helen (Tudy) Elizabeth Fischer who passed away at age 95 on February 7th, 2016 in Wayzata, formerly of St. Cloud. Rev. Scott Pogatchnik will officiate and entombment will be in Assumption Mausolem, St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Tudy was born in Minneapolis on May 12, 1920. She and Jack were married in 1945 in Minneapolis and moved to St. Cloud in 1954. Through the years Tudy loved and supported her family. She enjoyed crafts, painting bird houses and decorative chairs, baking, entertaining, playing tennis, golf and bridge. She was also active in birthday, sewing and bridge clubs. She was a volunteer for the St. Cloud Hospital’s Reach to Recovery cancer program for many years and was a long-time member of the St. Paul and St. Augustine parishes.

Surviving children: John R. (Donna) of Mundelein, Illinois, James D. (Jan) of Plymouth, Susanne J. Fischer (Trish Staehling) of Eagan; daughter-in-law, Janet Fischer. Five grandchildren: Kirsten (Robert) Bobber, Laura (Charlie) Genadek, Steven (Renae) Fischer, David Fischer, and Andrew Fischer, and five great grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy and Andrea Bobber, Thomas Genadek and Ava Fischer. Preceded in death were her husband, Jack R. Fischer; son, Patrick Fischer and her parents, David John and Jo Sandell; and sister, Marion Erler.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Jack and Helen Fischer Scholarship fund at St. Cloud Cathedral High School.
