Helen R. Nordwall, 95, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Princeton Elim Home.

Helen was born on May 3, 1920 in Princeton, MN, the daughter of Frank A. and Sarah Elizabeth (Applegate) Guyette. She attended Princeton Public School graduating from High School in 1938. She then attended Teacher’s Training for a year. She taught in country schools in Isanti and Sherburne counties from 1940-1942. She was united in marriage to E. Marshall Nordwall in May of 1941. During World War II she worked in Satterstrom Variety Store in Princeton. After moving to Foley in 1949 she worked as a secretary for the Public Health Nurse and also in the Auditors Office. In 1966 she moved back to Princeton and worked in the Princeton State Bank until retiring in 1982.

She is survived by her children Marsha (Mart) Lind and Marshall John (Judy) Nordwall; grandchildren, Jim (Michelle) Brunn, Kris (Rick) Cichon, Lori (Stephen) Sylvia, Richard (Anh) Nordwall and Robert (Amy Charewicz) Nordwall; great grandchildren, Amanda, Jesse, Gabby, Jonah, Lilly, Ashley and Aimee; a great great grandchild Finn; sister Anna Mae; brother-in-law Donald; along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Sarah; husband E. Marshall; and 9 of her 10 siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Freshwater’s United Methodist Church, River Campus, in Princeton. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton.
