Helen Marjorie Erickson, age 97, formerly of St. Cloud MN, died December 3, 2015 in Coeur D’Alene, ID.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. A time of sharing will be after the service during tea. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Columbarium, St. Cloud, MN. Arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Helen was born to Anna and Lorents Lorentson in Woodville, Wisc. She graduated from River Falls Teacher’s College and started teaching at the age of 20 in a one room school in Wisc. She continued to teach in Whitefish, Montana.

Helen married John Erickson in 1948. They lived in South Dakota, Iowa and moved to St. Cloud in 1960. They had been married for 67 years in Jan. 2015 when John died.

Helen was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for over 55 years. She was active in the Sunday School, library and her circle.

She is survived by her daughters, Jan (Brian) Bensen of St. Cloud, Deborah (Mark) Fisher of Dalton Gardens, ID, Nancy Erickson of Minnetonka, MN, and Sandy (Peter) Johnson Hayden of Idaho; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

Memorials preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
