Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville, MN for Helen Appolonia Mueller, age 87 of Paynesville who died on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. The Reverend Glenn Krystosek will be the celebrant.

Burial will be in the St. Anthony’s Cemetery at Regal, MN at 1:30 PM on Wednesday. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville, and on Wednesday morning one hour prior to the services.

Helen was born on June 10, 1927, in Spring Hill Township, Stearns County, MN, the daughter of William and Eleanore (Braun) Schoenberg. She grew up in Spring Hill Township where she attended country school and later attended St. Francis High School in Little Falls where she graduated in 1945. She went on to attend Teachers College at St. Cloud State. Helen then taught in the Brandon and Alexandria, MN, areas for a few years.

She was united in marriage to Robert Mueller on August 20, 1951, at the Catholic Church of St. Michael, Spring Hill, MN. They farmed in Lake Henry Township on the family farm until their retirement in 1982. They then moved into Regal where she lived until 2011, when she moved into Paynesville. She became a resident of the Koronis Manor in 2013.

Helen was an avid volunteer helping at Rose Center in Paynesville, Religious Education at St. Margaret’s and St. Anthony’s, the Paynesville Area Food Shelf, Meals-on-Wheels, and many other area needs. She loved gardening, picnicking, and above all spending time with her family.

Survivors include; six sons, Tom (Linda) of Gilman, Richard (Katie) of Paynesville, Herb (Nancy) of New London, Andy (Kelly) of Lake Henry, Charles (Edie) of Rushford, and Michael (Lisa) of New London: three daughters, Louise (Kurt) Fasen of Monticello, MN, Angela (Rick) Kraus of Clear Lake, and Lori (John) Seehafer of Burnsville, 37 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; brothers Fr. Oscar Schoenberg of Onamia, Br. Walter Schoenberg of Dubuque, IA, and Br. Leo Schoenberg of Onamia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marge Mueller, Mary Ann Svobodny, Ruth and Bill Vouk, Marvin Eull and Norb Schneider; other relatives and many friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, two infant daughters, her parents; brothers, Fr. Martin Schoenberg and Victor Schoenberg; two infant brothers John and Lawrence Schoenberg; sisters Sr. Lucy Schoenberg, Mary Jane Schneider and Flora Eull.
