Waite Park Cash Wise Pickup Awning Collapses [AUDIO]

WAITE PARK --  Shoppers got more than they bargained for last night when the pickup awning at Cash Wise Foods in Waite Park collapsed. The awning came down just after 9:00 p.m. yesterday.

Store Manager Ranji Lachmansingh says heavy snow build up is believed to be the cause.

Lachmansignh says no one was hurt and there was no damage done to the main part of the building during the collapse. The store is still open for business.

Lachmansignh says they will decide what steps need to be taken to fix the awning over the next few days.

Cash Wise is working on cleaning up the debris and hopes to have the area cleared sometime today.
