UNDATED - The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the St. Cloud metro area on Monday from noon until 8:00 p.m.

Morning clouds and scattered thunderstorms will give way to near record highs this afternoon as temperatures climb into the upper 90s, with heat indices increasing to around 100 as well.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible with the cold front passing tonight, but more important than that, this front will put an end to the near record heat, with highs by Thursday and Friday only expected to be in the 60s and 70s.
