Once a week, Dr. Evan Eigen from Maximized Living Р Legacy Chiropractic brings you tips to take your health to the next level.

The blast of hot temps we’ve been expecting for August hit us this week, as a Heat Advisory was posted on Tuesday. We’ve all heard that hydration is the key to stopping heat exhaustion. Drinking water is paramount, but this week, Dr. Eigen tipped us off that drinking coconut water can give your body an extra water absorption boost. He says it’s a much better alternative than sports drinks when it comes to hydrating. According to the Doc, the secret is electrolytes.

Listen to the podcast below for the whole story on the types of beverages you should be drinking during the heat, during exercise and during the workday.
