Harriet Dahle, 91, of Princeton, passed away peacefully Friday, May 15, 2015 at Sterling Pointe Assisted Living in Princeton. She was born March 5, 1924 in Marietta, MN the daughter of William and Othelia (Strouckel) Meyers. Harriet married the love of her life, Arnold “Arnie” Dahle on November 20, 1943 in Merced, CA. The couple moved to Princeton in 1954. Harriet was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Princeton, American Legion Auxiliary; and volunteered at the hospital and church. She enjoyed quilting, playing Bridge, golfing, walking around town, dancing, and baking pies for church or chocolate chip cookies to welcome a new face to the community. Harriet was optimistic, outgoing, caring, charismatic, loving, and a friend to everyone. She always lived life to the fullest and spent most days trying to make other people happy. Most importantly the “Joy of her life” was her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Harriet is survived by her children, Robert (Mary) Dahle of Forest Lake, Sue Hales of Elk River, Mary (Bruce) Kelley of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; son, William Dahle; infant daughter; son-in-law, Richard Hales; twin sister, Helen Schalansky; and older sister, Mildred Konold.

Someplace, Somewhere, Arnie and Harriet are dancing the night away.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, May 19 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Princeton. Visitation will be from 5-7PM Monday, May 18 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
