Harold W. Schultz, 89, Long Prairie

March 4, 1926 - April 6, 2015

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie, for Harold W. Schultz, age 89, of Long Prairie, who passed away on Monday at CentraCare Health Systems-Long Prairie. Rev. Noah Wehrspann will officiate and burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Long Prairie. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home – Stein Chapel, Long Prairie.

Harold William Schultz was born March 4, 1926 near Long Prairie, Minnesota, the son of Emil and Bertha (Keoproth) Schultz. He grew up in Long Prairie Township and graduated from District 31 Country School. He married LaVaune “Daisy” Dailey on January 6, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Prairie. They purchased a farm and he farmed until he entered the Long Prairie Nursing Home. He also was a partner in the Long Prairie Cesspool Pumping and Garbage for several years.

Harold is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie. He held several offices on the Long Prairie Township Board. He loved horses and raising his Shorthorn cattle. He also enjoyed hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his wife, LaVaune “Daisy” Schultz, Long Prairie; children, Sandra (Tom) Ducharme, Little Canada, MN; Cindy (Pat) Petersen, Waconia, MN; and Duane Schultz, Nome, AK; son-in-law, Tom Rohr, Long Prairie; sisters, Elsie Keller, Long Prairie; and Mildred Dreher, Nelson, MN; and grandchildren, Neil Ducharme, Megan, Ashley, and Katie Rohr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Gelene Rohr, and brother Raymond Schultz.
