MAPLE LAKE (AP) — It's been 10 years since a St. John's University student disappeared, and his family and friends say they still ache over the lack of closure.

About 100 people crowded into a Maple Lake church Saturday to remember Josh Guimond. Supporters shared stories and fond memories of him.

Guimond was last seen leaving a friend's apartment in 2002. Every year since then, friends and family gather to keep his memory alive.

Lisa Cheney says she's grateful that people still remember her son. She says there are times when it feels like she's the only one who remembers him, and then she's reminded how many people still think of him.

Cheney said she holds out hope that someone who knows what happened will come forward.
