CARLTON, Minn. (AP) - A woman accused of taking drugs before a highway crash that killed two men in Carlton County has pleaded guilty to charges.

Twenty-eight-year-old Vanessa Brigan entered the pleas Tuesday to two counts of criminal vehicular homicide. Brigan admitted taking a double dose of methadone before the October 2012 crash on Highway 210 near Cromwell.

Mitch Lingren and Zak Gamache worked on the Carlton County survey crew and were on their way to a job site when their vehicle was struck.

Reports say a plea deal recommends six years in prison for Brigan followed by probation. Sentencing is April 14.
