GRRL Selects Interim Executive Director [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD -- The Great River Regional Library board of trustees has temporarily selected a new executive director. Karen Pundsack will take over as interim director to replace former executive director Kristy Smith who resigned on June 23rd.

Smith went on a medical leave of absence for several months before resigning from her position. Pundsack says Smith was instrumental in bringing about change to the library.

Pundsack previously served as the associate director of patron services. She's been with Great River Regional Library since 1999.

The board will be discussing how they will move forward in their search to find a permanent executive director sometime in August. They aren't sure how long a candidate search will take.
