ST. CLOUD - It's cold and rainy now, but before you know it, it will be summer again.  And, when the Summertime By George concert series return in June the bands will have a brand new stage for their performances.

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis and members of the St. Cloud Rotary Club held a groundbreaking ceremony today (Tuesday) for the performance shelter.

The plan for the $260,000 shelter was announced back in July.

The Rotary Club will pay for half the cost, the city will pay for the other half using the half-cent sales tax money.

Mayor Kleis says beside the Summertime By George series, he hopes GREAT Theatre and the Granite City Days will use the stage for events as well.

The Rotary Club has donated a total of $1.6 million for renovation projects at Lake George/Eastman Park.
