Reese Gregory went the distance and the St. Cloud Rox beat the Rochester Honkers 4-0 Monday night in the first round of the Northwoods League playoffs. The Rox have now won nine straight games.

The Rox broke a scoreless tie in the bottom fourth inning on a wild pitch, then scored again on another wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning. Lee Miller capped the scoring later in the fifth inning with a two-run home run.

Gregory worked a no-hitter until the top of the sixth inning and finished with a nine inning, complete-game shutout in which he allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out ten Honkers.

The Rox will host the Duluth Huskies Tuesday night in a single-elimination game. The game can be heard on AM 1390 The Fan beginning with the pregame show at 6:35.
