GREAT Theatre Announces 2015 – 2016 Shows

ST. CLOUD - GREAT Theater and GREAT Children's Theatre have a great line-up for the 2015 - 2016 season.

The GREAT Theatre Company will have three shows. The company debuts with Ragtime. They will also be performing Disney's Mary Poppins, and Grease.

Both Ragtime and Grease are scheduled to be performed at the Paramount Theatre in St. Cloud. Mary Poppins will hit the stage at Escher Auditorium on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict.

Executive Director Dennis Whipple says Ragtime will feature a Model T car on stage. Keeping with that theme Grease will also feature a Grease Lighting car. Grease hasn't been performed by GREAT Theatre for about ten years. Whipple added this performance is one of the most requested performances by the audience. Mary Poppins will feature flying effects much like this year's performance of Peter Pan.

GREAT Children's Theatre kicks off with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The children's theatre will be performing a total of four shows. Their second performance will be The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, followed up by The Diary of Anne Frank, and Mr. Popper's Penguins. 

The first three shows will be held at the Paramount Theater, with Mr. Popper's Penguins at the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater on the campus of Saint John's University.

Whipple says The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will feature a huge cast. He added the performance of Mr. Popper's Penguins is an original script, and will only be the second time this version of the script will be performed on stage.

Tickets are $12 for GREAT Children's Theatre shows, and $15 for GREAT Theatre Company shows.
