Grandmother Struck By Hit-Run Driver Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A grandmother of 14 who was struck by a motorist who fled the scene as she crossed a Minneapolis street has died of her injuries.

Police say 70-year-old Mintrawati Dhannu was crossing at an intersection Nov. 23 when an SUV struck her and sped away. KSTP-TV says authorities believe the driver was in a white Yukon or Tahoe from 1996 to 1999.
