Services celebrating the life of Grace Sabrowsky, age 96 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farming. Pastor Fred Kutter will officiate, burial will be in the church cemetery. Grace died Saturday at the April 23, surrounded by her family, at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany and a second visitation after 10:00 AM Wednesday at the church. The Albany American Legion Auxiliary will pray at 5:00 PM Tuesday night at the funeral home.

Grace was born February 27, 1920 in Brownton, MN to Herman W. and Alma (Grunewaldt) Frauendienst. She was baptized in 1920 and confirmed in 1934 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Penn Township, rural Brownton. Grace grew up in Brownton and attended the Brownton schools. She worked at the St. Paul Stock Yard diner as a waitress. She was united in marriage to Alfred Sabrowsky on September 29, 1944. The couple lived and operated a dairy & chicken farm south of Albany, on Alfred's home farm. Alfred died in 1976; Grace moved to her home in Albany in 1983. She owned and managed an 8-unit apartment building next to her home along with a 200 acre farm near New Ulm. Grace volunteered many hours at her beloved Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mother of Mercy nursing home, and the Community Center preparing and delivering meals for shut-ins. Grace was a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League, volunteered for and was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and volunteered many hours at the Albany Hospital.

Grace is survived by her children, Gloria Effenberger- (Howard) Blume , New Ulm; Dennis Sabrowsky, Albany; David (Mary) Sabrowsky, Albany and Doris (Jack) Ramler of Avon. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Adeline Sabrowsky, Melrose; Adeline Rohe, Waconia; Erna Sabrowsky, La Mirada, CA; Brothers-in-law, Aaron Sabrowsky, Mesa, AZ; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Alma Frauendienst; her husband, Alfred Sabrowsky; seven brothers, three sisters, six brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
