ST. CLOUD -- The governor of Minnesota will swing through St. Cloud next week to  make a case for his revised budget.

Dayton's revised proposal includes raising taxes on the top 2% of state income earners and increasing funding to education.

According to the governor's website, taxes would be raised on 750 residents in Stearns County, which would provide an additional $4.7 million to area schools.

Local Government Aid to the City of St. Cloud would also increase by $2.2 million.

A total new investment in St. Cloud is listed at more than $8.8 million.
