UNDATED - As Governor Mark Dayton prepares for his second legislative session, he says jobs continues to be one of his top priorities.

During an interview with WJON News, Dayton says Minnesota is on the right track with job growth.

Minnesota's unemployment rate fell another two-tenths of a percent in December, down to 5.7%.  Nearly 8,000 jobs were created in Minnesota during the month.

Dayton says, besides job growth, stream lining state government is another area he'd like state lawmakers to tackle this session.

The legislature convenes this Tuesday.
