Gourmet Parlor Pizza in Royalton Planning to Expand Under New Ownership

ROYALTON - A popular local pizza supplier, Gourmet Parlor Pizza, is planning to expand under new ownership.

The company, based in Royalton, will now start distributing to 25 Runnings' stores in the Dakotas.

Gourmet Parlor Pizza supplies pizzas to bars, VFW clubs, resorts and convenience stores throughout Minnesota, Iowa and most of Wisconsin. New Co-Owner and President of Gourmet Parlor Pizza, Steve Sauer, says the company is excited for the expansion.

Gourmet Parlor Pizza opened in 1980 and employs 10 people who create 12 varieties of pizza. The company also offers pizzas through fundraising efforts in conjunction with schools and non profit organizations. Sauer says fundraising is an important part to the business.

The company's top seller is its three-meat pizza, with chicken Alfredo the second-best seller. The pizzas are currently distributed to operations in Austin, New Ulm, Monticello and Running's headquarters in Marshall.
