The Gopher Football team lost 28-21 at home to New Mexico State Saturday afternoon.  With :20 seconds left in the game Gopher first year head coach Jerry Kill suffered what appeared to be a seizure on the sideline.  Play stopped for several minutes before the game resumed.  Kill was taken off the field by medical staff on a golf cart.  The Gophers trailed 21-14 at halftime and were down 28-14 going into the 4th quarter.

The Gophers had a chance to tie the game late in the 2nd half when they were stuffed on 4th and goal from the 1-yard line.  Marquis Gray was 16-32 passing for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions and he ran 17 times for 110 yards and 1 touchdown.  Max Shortell played briefly and was 2-7 passing for 27 yards.  Minnesota is 0-2 to start the season and will host Miami-Ohio next Saturday.
