Gophers Hold Off Indiana, Improve to 7-2 This Season
BLOOMINGTON, IND. - The Gophers let a 35-13 lead slip away in the fourth quarter but managed to hold off Indiana with a final score of 42-39.
The Hoosiers scored 26 unanswered points to take away the lead in the fourth quarter. The Gophers answered back with a 50 yard touchdown pass from Philip Nelson to Maxx Williams, to go ahead 42-39.
The Gophers sealed the victory off a huge fumble recovery with 25 seconds left in the game.
Philip Nelson finished with four touchdowns for Minnesota.
The Gophers improve to 7-2 this season, they return to TCF Bank Stadium next week to take on Penn State.
