The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the University of Minnesota men's basketball team 78-72 Wednesday night in Columbus. The Gophers have now lost four straight games in the Big Ten Conference.

Nate Mason led the Gophers with 21 points, and Akeem Springs added 15 points in the loss for Minnesota. Marc Loving and Trevor Thompson each scored 19 points for OSU in the win.

The Gophers fall to 15-6 overall with the loss and are now 3-5 in the Big Ten Conference. Next up for the U of M is a matchup with Maryland Saturday afternoon at Williams Arena (AM 1240 WJON).
