Gopher Hockey Returns Friday To Host Colgate

The Minnesota Golden Gopher men's hockey team is back in action tonight when they host Colgate at Mariucci Arena as part of the Mariucci Classic. Tonight's game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON.

The Gophers are the top ranked team in the country and sport an impressive 12-2-2 record this season, while Colgate checks in at 7-9-2 so far this year.

The U of M will be without head coach Don Lucia tonight and assistant Mike Guentzel will take the reigns. Lucia is in Sweden acting as head coach for the USA World Junior team.

Minnesota will host either Ferris State or Rensselaer Saturday night to close the Mariucci Classic.
