The Gopher football team lost 26-10 at home to Michigan State Saturday afternoon to close the regular season.  Minnesota trailed 13-7 at halftime and got as close as 16-10 in the 2nd half.  Aaron Hill had a 33-yard interception return touchdown for the only Minnesota touchdown.

Philip Nelson was 10-23 passing for 61 yards and 3 interceptions before being pulled for Max Shortell for the Gophers.  Shortell was 3-6 for 31 yards and 1 interception.  Minnesota managed just 96 total yards compared to 421 for Michigan State.

The Gophers are 6-6 overall while Michigan State improves to 6-6 and become bowl eligible.
