The Gopher men’s basketball team fell 79-73 to Ohio State in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Gophers season potentially ends with a 18-15 overall and 6-12 in the Big Ten.

The game was tied at 35 at the half, but the Buckeyes controlled play for a majority of the final 20 minutes on their way to the win. The Gophers got within two points twice in the game's final ten minutes but could not get over the hump.

DeAndre Mathieu came off of the bench to lead Minnesota with 16 points on 7-9 shooting, but the Gophers’ Andre Hollins and Nate Mason scored just 22 points on 8-27 shooting.

Minnesota is on the bubble for a NIT bid.
