Gopher Basketball Recruit Is A Mr. Basketball

University of Minnesota basketball recruit Andre Hollins has been selected as Mr. Basketball in the state of Tennessee.  The 6’2 combo guard signed his national letter of intent to play for Tubby Smith and the Gophers in the early signing period.  He is ranked as the 126th best player in the 2011 recruiting class according to rivals.com.  Hollins is joined by Hopkins guard Joe Coleman as signees in the 2011 recruiting class for the University of Minnesota.  Minnesota also receiving a verbal committment from 6’3 junior college point guard Julian Welch from Yuba Community College in Yuba City, California.  He will likely sign during the late signing period in April.
