Gopher Basketball Falls At Home To Iowa
The Gopher men's basketball team lost 64-62 at home to Iowa Wednesday night. Minnesota led by as many as 11 points in the first half and led by 1 at halftime. Maverick Ahanmisi missed a 10-foot runner at the buzzer that could have forced overtime. Julian Welch led the Gophers with 14 points and 6 steals and Rodney Williams had 11 points and 12 rebounds. Minnesota was 4-23 from 3-point range.
Minnesota is 0-3 in the Big Ten and 12-4 overall. The Gophers will host Purdue at 5pm Sunday, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 4:30.
