Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, MN for Glenna Lucille Glimpse, age 61, of Glenwood, MN, formerly of St. Cloud, MN who died on Tuesday, September 23rd at the St. Cloud Hospital. Pastor Erica Kennedy will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, MN from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday one hour prior to the services at Atonement Lutheran Church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Glenna was born on October 31, 1952 in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of Merlin and Dorothea (Doetsch) Swanson. She grew up in Ellsworth and New Richmond, WI and graduated from New Richmond High School in 1970.

As a young lady she worked at Traveler’s Express in Golden Valley, MN and later worked as a paraprofessional for Cedar Mountain Elementary School in Franklin, MN. She was united in marriage to Edward A. Glimpse at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View, MN on October 29, 1994. Glenna and Ed have enjoyed retirement the last few years spending time in Apache Junction, AZ and Glenwood, MN.

Her children, grandchildren, and extended families were her life. It meant the world to her to spend time with them and be a part of their lives!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, three sisters, Mera Jeanne, Karen and Patty; two brothers, Mike and Gary; and one grandson, Austin Jarchow.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Glimpse of Glenwood, MN; her children, Christian Jarchow (Tamara Blandin), Melissa (Keith) Via, Michelle (Daniel) McLeod, Juli (Larry) Bauer, and James Glimpse; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Barbara (Ron) Dinger, Dorene (Ed) Place, Theresa (Dewey) Odalen, Merv Swanson, Velma (Ron) Olson, Steve (Betty) Swanson, Brad (Shay) Swanson, Reg (Luetta) Swanson, and DeeDee Swanson; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Swanson and Patti Swanson; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorials are preferred to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation (PKD) Foundation at 8330 Ward Parkway, Suite 510, Kansas City, MO 64114.
