Girls Basketball Section Playoff Matchups Announced

Six local girls basketball teams learned their playoff fates this weekend. Here are the St. Cloud area teams' matchups.

Sartell-St. Stephen (8-18) is the sixth seed in Section 8AAA and will play at third-seeded Thief River Falls (23-2) at 7 PM on Tuesday night. The winner of Tuesday's game advances to play against the winner of #2 Albany/#7 Sauk Rapids-Rice.

Sauk Rapids-Rice (4-21) is the seventh seed in 8AAA and will play at #2 Albany (24-1) Tuesday night at 7 PM.

Cathedral (7-18) is the fifth seed in the North half of the 5AA bracket and will play at fourth seed Milaca (12-10) on Thursday night at 7 PM. The Crusaders split a pair of regular season games with the Wolves this season. The winner advances to face the winner of #8 Mora/#1 Annandale.

Tech (22-3) earned the second seed in 8AAAA and will host Brainerd (9-17) on Tuesday night at 7:30 PM. The Tigers beat the Warriors in both head-to-head meetings this season. The winner will play against the winner of #3 Elk River/#6 Moorhead.

ROCORI (10-16) is the sixth seed in 5AAA and will play at third seeded Delano (18-7) on Tuesday night with a 7 PM start time. Whoever advances will play the winner of #2 Orono/#7 Big Lake.

Apollo (0-23) checks in as the eighth seed in 5AAA and will travel to Monticello to take on the top-seeded Magic (19-6).
