Girl Airlifted After Falling Off Truck

RICE -- A 16-year-old girl from Rice was airlifted to the St. Cloud Hospital after falling off a flatbed truck.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says Kathryn Skroch and her father, David, were rounding-up cattle that escaped from the family farm in Brockway Township, around 3 p.m. Friday.

Officials say the girl was riding on the back of a Chevrolet pickup when the truck moved suddenly, causing the her to fall off and hit her head on the road.

Emergency crews arrived after her dad called 911. Sheriffs say the accident is under investigation.
