GILMAN -- A Benton County feed and farm supply store is undergoing an expansion.

The Gilman Coop Creamery is building a new 19,000 square-foot building. General Manager Adam Bonovsky says they will use about 8,000 square feet of the new building to expand their grocery line and hardware section.

Bonovsky says they're also adding storage capacity for their grain business by adding new storage bin and a grain dryer.

The Gilman Coop Creamery was formed in 1923. Their current building was built in 1950 and Bonovsky says they've just outgrown their space. He says when the new facility is finished, they'll be demolishing the current building.

Bonovsky says the biggest misconception about farm coops are that you need to be a member. He says they are open to the general public and hang their hat on their customer service.
