WASHINGTON -- Struggles on the mound cost the Minnesota Twins a victory last (Friday) night as they fall to the Washington Nationasl 8-4.

Starting pitcher Kyle Gibson struggled early only lasting three innings and giving up seven runs on seven hits.

Washington's Jayson Werth hit a home run and robbed one in left field, while pitcher Gio Gonzalez went six-plus innings giving up 3 runs for the home team.

The lone bright spot for the Twins was Miguel Sano's solo home run in the 8th inning.

The Twins move to 5-12 on the season. The will look to bounce back in this series this (Saturday) afternoon. First pitch is at 12:05 p.m.
