Geraldine H. Scharber, 95, St. Cloud

June 4, 1921 - September 21, 2016

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm for Geraldine “Gerry” H. Scharber, 95 of St. Cloud who passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at St. Benedicts Senior Community. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate and burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Dayton, MN at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Geraldine Helen Scharber was born on June 4, 1921 in Dayton, MN to John and Susan (Marx) Scharber. She worked in manufacturing at Cornelius Corporation in Anoka for over 25 years, until her retirement. She was a member of John the Baptist Church in Dayton, MN. Gerry enjoyed crocheting, sewing, embroidery and spending time with her family. She was hardworking and witty. Holidays and special events were important to her, as she always cooked delicious meals by memory for those she loved.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (Merton) Kampa of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Isabelle Zimmerman, Alice Dischinger, Florence Lenz; brother, Leon Scharber; and two grandchildren.
