George W. Bischoff, 77, Osakis

George William Bischoff, age 77, Osakis, MN died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Memorial services will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, Osakis, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

George was born February 18, 1938 in Akeley, MN to Charles and Amber (Treat) Bischoff. He grew up in Grand Rapids, MN. George attended the University of Minnesota and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Education. He met and married Joan Comer in St. Paul, MN. George taught school in Renville and Coleraine, MN before purchasing his own business, Lucky Lanes, in Winnebago, MN. In later years he moved to Osakis where he operated a bait shop and sold docks and lifts. His passions in life were bowling, fishing, sports of all kinds and playing cards and games.

George will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Joan; four children, David (Deborah) Bischoff of St. Cloud, MN; Janet (Mark) Macey of West Union, MN; Michael (Nancee) Bischoff of Eagan, MN; Linda (James) Stauffacher of St. Cloud, MN; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Amber, and one brother.
