George A. Schickta, 90, Sartell

November 25, 1924 - May 16, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30AM Friday, May 22, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for George Schickta who died Saturday at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud. The Rev. Tim Baltes will officiate and burial will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Elmdale. Friends and relatives may call 1 hour prior to services Friday at the church in Sartell. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.

George was born in Elmdale to Paul P. & Theresa (Pannek) Schichta. He grew up in Elmdale and farmed his family farm and worked at Dezurik in Sartell. He sold the farm and moved to Sartell in 1979. He retired from Dezurik Corp after 30 years in 1986. After retiring he worked as a security watchman for many years in the area. George enjoyed fishing and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Sharon (Daryl) Theisen of Sartell; Mary Jane (Ron) Raynor of Coeur d’ Alene, ID; Anne (John) Crary of Lake Zurich, IL; Joe (Diane) Weldon of Mesa, AZ; and Richard (Lynda) Weldon of South St. Paul and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Gertrude Weldon and Emma Hovanes.
