Gary Lee Johnson, 77, Princeton

March 9, 1937 - February 12, 2015

Gary Lee Johnson, age 77, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Milaca Elim Home. He was born on March 9, 1937 in Princeton, MN the son of Ted and Myrtle (Benson) Johnson.

Gary grew up on the family farm in Dalbo and graduated from Princeton High School. He was united in marriage to Joan Dierkes on November 4, 1967 in North Minneapolis, MN. Gary purchased his uncle’s farm in the early 1980’s where he and Joan lived and farmed. He was also employed by Honeywell as a tool and die maker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his farm.

Gary is survived by his wife Joan; brother Dennis (Veronica) Johnson; sister in law Fidelis Dierkes; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents in law Joseph and Mary (Fouquette) Dierkes; as well as his aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish-North Campus, Princeton, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 5-8PM at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton. Burial will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Duelm, MN.
