ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A funeral Mass is being planned for Monday for best-selling Minnesota author Vince Flynn, creator of the Mitch Rapp counterterrorism thriller series.

A family statement says it will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul. A visitation will precede the Mass, starting at 9 a.m.

Flynn died early Wednesday at United Hospital in St. Paul after battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer for more than two years.

The St. Paul native has sold more than 15 million books in the U.S. alone and millions abroad. His 14th novel, "The Last Man," was published last year.

CBS Films says development for a Mitch Rapp movie based on 2010's "American Assassin" remains on track. Bruce Willis has signed on to play Rapp's mentor, Stan Hurley.
