COLLEGEVILLE -- This week in Fun Friday, we take a stroll through the St. John's Abbey Arboretum.

The forest out near the campus of St. John's University features over 2,500 acres of pristine natural beauty and miles of trails on which to walk, hike or jog.

Kyle Rauch of St. John's Outdoor University says fall is a perfect time to visit the arboretum.

"For one, you don't have to deal with mosquitoes, so that's a plus," Rauch says. "And you see a lot of different colors changing in the trees, so it really is a great time to be out in the woods prowling around."

The changing colors of the forest will be highlighted this Sunday at the annual Collegeville Colors event that features food, live music, and artwork along the trails.
