ST. CLOUD -- This week Frozen In Time we traveled to Ray's Barber Shop in downtown St. Cloud. Ray Opatz owns Ray's Barber Shop. It's one of the few places left where you can still get a shave and catch up on the latest local news and sports.

Opatz graduated from barber school in November 1959. He says he's had some of the same customers for decades. In fact, he says he frequently cuts the hair of some of their grandchildren.

Ray's offers shaves with a complimentary hot towel, military style haircuts and taper cuts. He says there's not too many places left that still do this.

Opatz says he likes being a barber because he enjoys the conversations he has with his customers.

He started working in his uncles barber shop which at the time was a family affair and continues that tradition today.

The shop has been in the same location for about 12 years. Opatz says he's been within the same half a block area since he opened up the shop.

He says he plans to continue the family tradition and keep it an old fashioned barber shop.
