ST. CLOUD - Cheers erupted through the St. Cloud Public library this morning as St. Cloud native Alise Post made her Olympic BMX biking debut in London.

About 100 friends, fans and former teammates watched with excitement as Post finished 8th of 16 riders in the individual seeding time trial, which will determine lane assignments for Friday's semi-finals.

Kelly Sayre, Director of Sports & Special Events for the St. Cloud Convention and Visitors Bureau, says since only the top 8 racers will compete for medals, the results of today's race are very promising for Post.

Post's race time of 38.9 seconds places her just one second away from the 1st place finisher's time.

Sayre says they'll be hosting another viewing party on Friday morning at the St. Cloud Public Library.
