ST. CLOUD --  The apparent murder of Keita Keletigui earlier this week in St. Cloud has left those who knew the 37-year-old food store owner asking one question -- 'why?'

"He had no enemies," says Keletigui's neighbor Nikko D'Angelo. "Who would do such a thing?"

"It's senseless."

Keletigui, owner of the Kilimandjaro Market in St. Cloud, was found dead of a gunshot wound at his apartment at 1200 East Division Street on Tuesday morning.

"This just came out of nowhere," says Alec Birkeland, who lives in the building. "These [apartments] are really good and we've never had any problems like this before."

Keletigui, known to friends as "Pappy", is described as a warm and generous man who was an avid fan of soccer.

"He was so nice to everybody," says D'Angelo. "I've never heard him raise his voice or swear at anybody."

"Pappy was the kind of guy who gave everything he had to anybody -- he was a very kind and caring person."

Anyone with information is urged to contact the St. Cloud Police Department or Tri-County Crime Stoppers.
