EDEN PRAIRIE (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings are reeling from another embarrassing performance.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Tuesday that he wouldn't change his decision to start Josh Freeman at quarterback against the New York Giants on Monday night. Freeman struggled through a 20-for-53 passing night in the 23-7 loss.

Frazier says he felt confident that Freeman had enough time to learn the offense and prepare for the job despite being with the team for just two weeks. The coach said he thought Freeman's throwing mistakes were mechanical, not mental.

Frazier also said Freeman will still be the starter this week, when the Vikings host the Green Bay Packers.
