Frank T. Rakotz, 64, St. Cloud

September 22, 1950 - July 10, 2015

Frank T. Rakotz, age 64 of St. Cloud, died peacefully at his home on Friday, July 10, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4:00-8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Wednesday. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Frank was born September 22, 1950 in St. Cloud to Frank and Juliette (Chromey) Rakotz. He attended and graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and was honorably discharged. He moved to Bartlesville, OK and was united in marriage to Angela Williams on December 15, 1979.

Frank was a maintenance mechanic for TRW RedaPump before returning to St. Cloud in 1991 where he worked for Electrolux until he retired in July of 2014. He loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. Most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife of 35 years Angela Mariini-Rakotz of St. Cloud; children, David (Becky) Williams of St. Stephen, Steven Williams of Katy, TX, Tammy (Willie) Mason of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Aimee (Dan) Ronning, Alyssa Williams, Chase Williams, Holly (Joe) Palmersten, Connor Williams, Grayson Williams, Amber (Fiance, Ian Boyd) Mason, Jennifer Mason; brothers, Al Rakotz of Brainerd and Darrell Rakotz of St. Cloud; k-9 companion Lillie Belle and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tommy and Dale Rakotz; sisters, Doreen Curtis, Bernetta Bonovsky, Marlene, Marilyn and Marlys Rakotz; his granddaughter, Amanda K. Mason and dogs, Sophie and Maggie.
