Frances Ann Kiess, 88, Cold Spring

July 31, 1928 - July 29, 2017

A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN for Frances A. Kiess, age 88, who died Saturday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Inurnment will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Cold Spring.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.

Fran was born in St. Cloud, MN to John and Anna (Augustinack) Sworski. She married Notker Kiess on April 22, 1961 in St. James Catholic Church, Jacobs Prairie. Fran was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed baking, cooking, watching the MN Twins, and Ricky Fowler with the PGA Tour. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Notker; daughter, Patty (Loren) Hendrickson; son, Tom Kiess; siblings, Walter Sworski, John Sworski; 4 grandchildren and 3-great-grandchildren;

She was preceded in death her first husband, Leo F. Otto and her parents.
